Family Member Chris Cook Heads WVU Cardiothoracic Residency Program

Our hard work and collective efforts allowed us to slowly grow the company over the next several years.

When Chris Cook was growing up in Pineville, he had no intention of going into the medical field. He intended to go into his family’s business, Cook’s Excavating. Today, however, Cook is the program director of WVU Cardiothoracic Residency in Morgantown. He is responsible for overseeing the training of surgeons who have chosen to specialize in cardiothoracic surgery, including lectures, hospital teaching rounds, overseeing educational conferences, instructing technical aspects of surgery through simulation, and teaching surgery in the operating room.
